Before beginning, let the lard come to room temperature.
Pre-heat oven to 350° F.
Kneed lard, eggs, flour, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
The dough should be a bit crumbly, but should still come together to form a ball, similar to a modeling putty.
If using the meat grinder and attachment: Send the dough through the grinder, cutting the strips into your preferred length, ~2 to 5 inches.
If shaping by hand: Divide dough into four pieces and roll each piece into a rope about ½” thick. Cut the cookies to your preferred length, ~2 to 5 inches. If you want to mimic the texture, run a fork across the top of the cookies. This texture helps the sugar stick to the cookie.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and evenly space the cookies for baking, leaving about an inch between each cookie.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the cookies develop a light golden color.
Remove from the oven and decorate with powdered sugar or your favorite toppings! Enjoy/Bucurați-vă
